Sifnos is a beautiful island in the western Cyclades. It is a typical Cycladic island, with its traditional architecture and tranquil beaches.

Apollonia, the capital of the island, was named from the god Apollo, the patron saint of the island. The beaches of the island are beautiful and clean, some of which have received the “Blue Flag”.
Start by sunbathing on the rocks of Chrisopigi and discover the beaches in Faro, Kastro, Plati Gialos, Herronissos, Saoures and Fykiada, a small sandy beach with crystal clear waters.
Sifnos is known for its pottery art but mainly for its delicious cuisine. The island of the famous chef Tselemendes offers delicacies that will remain unforgettable: Revithada, Mastelo cheese in the wood oven, caper salad , manoura cheese , almond sweets, sesame honey candy and more.

Behind the mountains of the island lies an incredible treasure, full of churches, castles and historical monuments. The area Natura, as it has been declared, has been included in the European network of natural – protected areas.
This is an area of 20,000 acres that starts at the Monastery of Profitis Elias and ends on the west coast of the island. The area is filled with aromatic herbs and cedar and is home to rare and endangered species of plants and animals and has recorded the presence of 39 species of birds. The highest point is the peak Apidia (600 meters).
