ANES is a Greek shipping company operating in the maritime transport of passengers and vehicles in the Northern Sporades and on the route Piraeus Aegina.
ANES is a grassrooted company with about 1300 stockholders who in their vast majority are permanent residents of Symi and Rhodes. The company was founded in 1979 with the purpose of putting the island out of isolation and boosting the freight, passenger and tourist traffic , allowing this way the people of Symi to remain in the island and avoid them of becoming summer visitors.
